God's Grace is a freely given gift. We do not earn it in anyway.
Jesus Christ died for us while we were yet his enemies.
How does this work? Even with a free given gift one must accept it and doesn't that acceptance make one responsible for it?
God offers us Grace but if we do not accept it we are not saved. So can't we say that in a way we earn this Grace by accepting it?
When one accepts God's Grace they will start to perform works of faith as evidence of that Grace working in their life. One may refuse to do these works of faith.
Or is this just one of the many things that a rational mind is incapable of understanding fully through the rational mind and one must accept a faith understanding of it?
