Question about human spirits

Hi all,

I have a question about human spirits and what they are and aren't allowed to do. I understand that once we die we either go to Hell, Heaven or Purgatory (a pathway to Heaven) and I understand that souls in Hell are not allowed to come back to the Earth or move to Heaven.

My question is: does God permit souls of people who are in Heaven to come back to Earth? Can you also tell me where the answer to this question comes from so i can inform myself further?
