Prayer to get into school

I had to home school my daughter last year because of vicious bullying the year before at her junior high (believe it or not, defending another girl who was being bullied made my daughter the new target!). We adhered to the state laws regarding homeschooling, however, when I tried to enroll her in the public high school this year, I was told that her transcript was invalid because it was not from an "accredited home school program"! I later found out (after some research) that each individual school district gets to make that decision about home school transcripts and curriculum, not the state, so many home schooling parents have no idea about it until they try to put their child in public school (in fact, the vice principal told me I wasn't the only parent they had to turn away for the same thing). The high school's answer to the problem was to contact the previous school and see if they will allow her to re-take the 8th grade (which she did at home last year!) instead of allowing her to go on into the 9th grade with all of her peers. To say this is breaking my daughter's heart is an understatement. I feel the school has let us down twice - once in failing to do anything about the bullying issue the year before (even though I was constantly contacting the teachers, counselor, vice principal and principal) and now in not allowing my child to enroll at the high school. :( We live in a small town and there are no other school alternatives here.

Tomorrow I have an appointment to speak with the superintendent who told me that he's looking over her papers to determine which campus would be best for her. Should he decide to send her back a grade, we will just have to continue on with homeschooling her which will be upsetting to my daughter and stressful for me as I now have to work outside the home all day. Please pray that the superintendent will decide to allow her into the high school!! Thank you all so much!
