Boomerang Post (aka Australia Post)

Yesterday I went down to the post office and sent off a batch of mail. I placed it into the street box outside the local post office.

The mail van pulled up, when I was posting the mail. I think that he was there to collect it, and to take it to a mail distribution centre in a nearby suburb.

Today the postman arrived and put into my home mailbox one of the letters. It was for an address on the other side of Australia.

It was correctly addressed with a nicely typed up address label. There was another typed up label on the back with the sender’s address (mine), clearly indicating that I am the sender.

In addition I put the correct postage for a standard Australian letter (within Australia).

Australia Post doesn’t even have the excuse in Elvis Presley’s hit song: Return to Sender i.e. that the recipient was refusing to accept the mail.

My letter has been to the mail distribution centre. I know this by the stamping on the back.

Well I guess this is Australia and it must be boomerang post!!!
