I attended a class today given by a Benedictine sister. Someone asked about Reincarnation, and she said that the Church taught it about 300 years ago, but stopped because people used it as an excuse to misbehave in this life. That raised a HUGE red flag. She went on to talk about how the planets are going to align soon and that that's going to mess with the vibrations in our body, and our energy fields. She also said that Heaven, Hell, and Purgatory are all states of mind. They aren't places we go to after we die, but things we're living now. So when you have a bad day, it's He'll and when you're having a good day you're in Heaven.
I was deeply disturbed by everything she said. She was teaching a room full of catechists, and they all nodded in agreement. They were eating out of the palm of her hand and accepted everything she said without question. These people are gonna go out and teach these things to their classes! Am I exaggerating, or is she deeply wrong about these things?
