How did you like being home schooled?

I was home schooled all my life until college. I'm curious what YOU thought of being home schooled? I'm not interested in posts from moms about how much their kids love it. I want to know from those who have also been home schooled. Make a Pros/cons list if it helps!

To pretty much everyone who asks this question, I tell them I loved it. But there's always that sinking feeling left inside where I remember the days when I didn't love it so much. =/

I don't regret being home schooled one bit, because I wouldn't be the person I am today without it. I'm thankful that I wasn't surrounded by the pressure to do drugs, drink, or have sex because I know many girls my age that were. But I do think some things could have been done differently. I wasn't part of a home schooling group or anything like that, so finding friends was difficult at times and I never quite felt like I fit in. It didn't help that I went though some severe depression issues all throughout my high school years. I also feel as though I wasn't taught certain things properly and often feel uneducated.

I'm over it all now, mostly haha. But I'm just curious if anyone else feels the same way I do about it? Just for myself, and also in case I one day get married and have a family. I don't want them to go through the bad like I did. I want to know if there's a way I can improve the home school experience. :) My older sister will be starting a family soon and she's not sure about home schooling either. I don't want her children to be in public school, I'm already a protective auntie!! I just don't want them to be lonely, depressed, sheltered or feel they're not smart enough.
