Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Yesterday, in our parish Bible Study, we began to listen together to the Letter to the Ephesians. In the course of the discussion on Chapter 1, we were blessed in remembering our call to holiness in our Baptism. This morning as I continued to reflect on this, the words of the "Hail Mary" came to mind:
Mary's holiness, like ours is a share in the holiness of God. Her holiness, of course, exceeds the holiness of every human person for she alone bore the Son of God within her womb for nine months. She was uniquely chosen to be the Mother of God. Nevertheless, each one of us is called in Baptism to become the unique saint God intended us to be in creating us. Mary is our Mother and our Model and we see in her, all that we are called to be as individual saints and as His Holy Church.
How blessed we are to be children of God and children of Mary!
