Hello, all the beautiful souls of Catholic Answers Forums.
I'm letting my mind, heart and soul get in a terrible bind these days. First, I'm fairly young (19) and have a deep hunger for the Catholic dogma. Apologetics are one of my favorite things in this world. However, I'm also growing to find that there are so many people opposed to the Catholic faith. They attack it and spit on it. This hurts my heart deeply and I tend to let it send me into bouts of extreme sadness.
Another problem I'm facing is a weekly struggle with sins of impurity. I was brought into the world of pornography at a young age and have such a terrible time getting through it. This terrible sin also leads me to actions of impurity... I really ask you all and the Lord for guidance in this vice.
Lastly... I had a very troubling senior year of high school. My friends of 12 or so years were viciously sucked into the culture of death. They began drinking and sleeping around at exhausting rates. Fortunately, a true angel sent by the Lord guided me through that time, our high school chaplain. He is the one who showed me the faith. However, because of the scar my friends left there, I've become far more cynical of people and tend to retreat when I learn they engage in poor practices. This keeps me from meeting new people. I ask that you pray for my conversion of heart into a softer one.
I apologize for this being such a long intention, but I could just really use a couple of extra prayers from people who have love in their hearts. Not just for strangers, but also for Christ.
