I found this document yesterday:
Joint Declaration on the Doctrine of Justification
What I gather from it is that though the Council of Trent rejected the Lutherans for their doctrines, the Church says that they no longer do reject them for their particular doctrine of justification.
This confuses me, and this is an obstacle to me, as isn't the Church infallible, especially in the councils? How can they change something that they decided on 400 years ago?
Your help would be appreciated.
