I hope I've posted this in the right place!
I am learning the Rosary from Laudate, Under the mystery of the Assumption of the Virgin into heaven, it has:
'Blessed art thou of the most high God above all the women upon the earth;and blessed be the Lord God, which hath created the heavens and the earth, which hath directed thee to the cutting off of the head of the chief of our enemies...'
What enemy is being referred to here? Is this implying that in saying yes to carrying Christ, Mary has cut off the head of death or?? The Catholics that I have asked do not know the answer.
