Budapest’s acting chief prosecutor, Tibor Ibolya, said (Bela) Biszku was the chief director of post-1956 reprisals and has been charged over two cases where security forces shot at civilians, killing five at Nyugati railway station and 46 in the northern town of Salgótarján. Some 26,000 were hauled before the courts after the rebellion against rule from Moscow, around 300 of whom were executed. An estimated 200,000 people fled the country during a brief period before the borders were sealed. Biszku, who faces life in prison if convicted, has been ordered not to leave Budapest.

Finally a bit of sweet justice for the Hungarian People, of whom over 2,500 were killed during the 1956 Hungarian Uprising.

Shows if you're willing to wait you can get justice at last.

Time magazine's "Man of the Year" for 1956 was the Hungarian Freedom Fighter.

Some good news . . . for a change. :)
